I don’t know if I’m gonna make it, Lux complained quietly to herself, It’s so freaking boring here!
It’s only been a week since their move to Brindleton Bay and Lux was over it already. She promised her parents she would give it a chance but that was easier said than done. The new house was huge and she had her own space, even her own bathroom. Everything about it was beautiful but it still didn’t make up for the fact that her life was back in Newcrest and that’s where she wanted to be.
There’s nothing to write about here … just trees and roads and buildings and more buildings …
She hadn’t written anything since the move and that was unlike her. Usually, she could fill up a brand new notebook in just a week and was always running out of space in her camera but now, her inspiration was just … gone.
But then again … I haven’t really been anywhere. Maybe, there is a story or something in one of those buildings …
She pondered the idea. It was just a small one, but still, the first since she’s been here. She was so lost in her thoughts, she didn’t hear Ali calling her name. She finally snapped back into reality when Aja joined in.
She spun around to face them, “sorry, I didn’t hear you.”
“Clearly,” Ali laughed, “we’re leaving in a few minutes, okay?”
“Okay, I’m coming.”
“Can I go wit’ Lux?” Aja asked excitedly.
“Next time, okay?” Ali smiled, “you’re going with me and Daddy today.”
“Okay!”
