Episode 25: Stay, Please

Later that Night.
Salim’s Apartment.

Camilla was packing up to go home from her weekend sleepover at Salim’s apartment and as usual, he was trying to convince her to stay.

Salim: [pouts] Why do you have to go already?
Camilla: Cause it’s Sunday.
Salim: Well, you know what I think?
Camilla: What?
Salim: I think you should unpack and stay here again tonight.
Camilla: [smiles] And why would I do that?
Salim: Cause you love me?
Camilla: [laughs] I do, but I also love not having to leave 30 minutes earlier to get to the office.
Salim: [begs] Pleeeaaaase? I can’t sleep without you.
Camilla: [sighs] You’re lucky you’re cute.

She crawled back in bed with him and they laid together, silently, while he thought about this thing he needed to tell her. He should’ve told her as soon as he found out, he knew this, but he didn’t want her to think that while he was book talking with her, that he was book talking with Aahana too. He wasn’t sure she would give him the benefit of the doubt so he put it off, let them grow closer first and before he knew it, three months had passed. He can’t put it off any longer tho. He’s going to tell her Tuesday night, after the appointment. He went over all of her possible reactions, anger, sadness, disappointment, they were all bad. He hated that he would be the one to make her feel like this.

She caught him staring at her and while she loved all this attention he gave her all the time, she could tell something was on his mind.

Camilla: What?
Salim: Nothing … I was just thinking …
Camilla: About what?
Salim: … You know I love you, right?
Camilla: Yeah?
Salim: … I just want to make sure you know that.
Camilla: Okay …
