You may have heard of the mod, Wicked Whims, that offers animated sex interactions for the Sims 4. At first glance, it may seem like too much. Especially if you’ve heard stories of orgies popping off at restaurants or parents doing obscene and questionable things in front of their children, but the mod has come a long way since its release and offers so much more than just sex. Things like detailed menstrual and fertility cycles, personality archetypes and a full fledged attractiveness system like back in the good ole Sims 2 days, make this mod a must have for me.

If you’re not interested in all of the sex and nudity stuff, but would like to take advantage of the other features mentioned above, there is a way to turn that portion of the mod off, almost completely. It’ll still exist but only at your direction. This way you won’t have to worry about Father Winter getting it on with one or two of your sims at Winterfest, I mean, unless that’s what you want.

Downloading the Mod:

So to get started, you need to download and install the mod. You can find it on the official Wicked Whims site here.

*Note: The mod is the only thing you need to download. No animations are necessary unless you want them. The animations are what allows the possibility for detailed sex to happen in your game but since this post is about how to tone things down, we aren’t going to go over that.

For everyone else, unzip and place the “WickedWhimsMod” folder in your Mods folder making sure it is no more than one folder deep. Now we’re ready to start the game.

Customizing the Settings:

To make changes to the Wicked Whims Settings, you need to be in live mode, so choose any random family in the save you’re playing and load up their household.

*Note: Settings have to be reconfigured for every save so it’s important to choose the save you’re playing. Don’t worry though, once we’re done, I’ll show you how to export them so that you can easily import them for future saves.

Once you’re there, click on any available sim or spot on the ground and click the “Wicked…” option.

There are two main settings that we need to focus on, “Nudity” and “Sex”. We’ll start with Nudity. Click on “Nudity Settings”.

Click to uncheck “Naturism and Exhibitionism Switch”. This will disable sims from gaining the exhibitionism skill which is all about nudity.

Next click on “Occurrence Settings”. This is where we will turn autonomy off.

Next click to place a check mark next to “Disable Nudity Occurrences”. This disables all nudity autonomy so sims won’t randomly strip down for no reason.

Click the “x” to go back to the main Nudity Settings Screen and click “Other Settings”. Uncheck “Toilet Undressing Switch” to prevent them from removing their pants or entire outfit (depending on what they’re wearing) when they use the bathroom and “Breast Feeding Undressing Switch” to prevent female sims from removing their top + bra when breastfeeding.

Go back to the main Nudity Settings Screen again and click “Special Settings”. Uncheck “Window Peeping Switch” to prevent a special NPC sim from being generated for the sole purpose of peeping in your sims’ window. I just don’t like this so I disable it.

Now we’re all done with the Nudity Settings! Click the “x” until you get back to the main Wicked Whims Settings Screen and click “Sex Settings”. This one is fairly simple and much quicker than the nudity stuff.

Click to uncheck “Autonomy Switch” to prevent sims from autonomously engaging in sexual acts.

And that’s it!

Exporting/Importing Your Settings:

To export your settings, in the main Wicked Whims Settings screen, click “Settings Control” then “Export Current Settings”. A dialog box will pop open and allow you to name your settings. To import your settings (for other saves) follow the same steps above and click “Import Settings” and select the settings you would like to import.

I also recommend downloading a few additional mods that helps censor a few things that you may not want to see:

Additional Notes:

Following these steps will allow you to disable autonomy for both nudity and sexual occurrences in your game but it won’t prevent other additions made to the game from showing up.

Examples include:

  • Watch porn option on the computer
  • Order sex items option on the computer (condoms/birth control/menstrual items)
  • Have sex option included as a date goal (not required to actually get a medal)
  • Have sex with … as whim
  • Phone option to terminate pregnancy

If seeing any of these things in your game bothers you, I would strongly caution against downloading this mod.

    1. Hi 😊 Have you tried deleting both Wicked Whims flies then reinstalling? When you do, I suggest deleting both files from your mods folder beforehand (not copying/pasting over) to make sure you have only the correct files. There should be two files, a script file and a package file. If you continue to have these errors, I would suggest throughly checking your mods folder to be sure there aren’t duplicate files hidden somewhere.
